Evening visit robbers Cave and Shastradhara
Robbers Cave: Robber’s Cave, located at a distance of 8 km from the city centre, is one of the most popular picnic spots of the destination. Popularly known as Guchu Pani, this place is situated at a distance of 1 km from the village of Anarwala. The place is famous for a strange phenomenon, wherein a stream of water suddenly disappears from the sight and appears again after few metres.
Sahastradhara: Sahastradhara, located at a distance of around 14 km from the heart of the city, is a popular tourist attraction of Dehradun. Literally meaning ‘Thousands fold Spring’, Sahastradhara is a beautiful spring, having a depth of around 9 m.Owing to the presence of sulphur in the water of this spring, it is believed to have medicinal value. Besides medicinal merits, the spring is also known for its beautiful views. The beauty of this spring is further enhanced by the surrounding caves and Baldi River.

Jharipani Falls: The cascading Jharipani Falls is located on Mussoorie-Jharipani road about 9 km from Mussoorie. After reaching a certain point by car, one needs to trek 1.5 km to reach the waterfall. Indulging in this small adventurous journey brings the visitor to the picturesque wild nature where the water fall is producing a soul soothing music of its own. After monsoon, water fall becomes more voluminous and gushes down with enhanced vigour, and hence becomes more enchanting.
